Before you begin your tour of Napa Valley, you must stop by The Napa Sonoma Wine Country Visitors Center/Wine Shop & Gourmet Deli. The Napa Sonoma Wine Country Visitors' Center is located at 101 Antonia Drive, Vallejo, California on the east side of Highway 29. They can assist you with hotels, directions, hot air balloon rental and wine country information. Open seven days a week. (800) 877-5904.  The gracious staff warmly greets you and invites you to enjoy a wine tasting experience second to none with over 100 local award winning wines to choose from.  Here, enjoying wine is a way of life and you don’t have to be an expert. David Christman, General Manager is the consummate host with a wealth of wine industry knowledge and always ready with a smile.  You may even meet Chris Williams, the proprietor, who will also make sure your visit is an enjoyable one.

Don’t pass up the opportunity to taste the delicious cuisine in the Gourmet Deli which is located adjacent to the Visitor’s Center.  The Deli offers a wide variety of sandwiches, cold and hot, along with salads, soups, chili, soft drinks, wine & beer all at a reasonable price.  Here you can get everything you need to take with you on your tour of the Wine Country – try the curried chicken salad sandwich or the hot Cuban sandwich – two of my favorites!

The visitors center will also provide you with complimentary Winery passes for free wine tasting at selected wineries as well as detailed maps of Napa and Sonoma.

The Napa Sonoma Wine Country Visitors Center is a fantastic place to begin your wine country journey or just hang out with the local Turtles and savor fine wines!
